Heather Onoh (Mrs.) Managing Director & Co- founder

A visionary executive, Heather has over 20 years domestic and international experience in operations, management, market identification, strategic business planning and strategic positioning of startup and growth organizations. Heather has overseen projects such as acquisition of the 1020MW Sapele Power Plant, she also served as a project developer for the Rural Electrification Agency and Light Up Nigeria program. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Fluor Engineering International and Sapele Power Plc. Heather holds a Masters degree from Metropolitan School of Business Management and a BBA in Business Management from Hofstra University, Hampstead, New York. Heather was nominated to receive the Honorary Doctorate Degree of the Commonwealth University (London Centre), UK.

Adebukola Adejumobi, Chief Financial Officer An astute finance expert, Adebukola founded Penrose Consulting and co-founded Cleanaqua Africa .He has more than 15 years of experience in financial modeling & forecasting, Financial Reporting and Analysis, cost Control, Corporate Governance, Business Valuation across the Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Telecommunication, Construction, and Finance sectors. Prior to joining SGI, he worked with Deloitte West & Central Africa. He is an alumnus of the University of Bradford and has been an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria for over ten (10) years.
Tam Anselm, Head of Technology A technologist at heart, Anselm was the VP of Information Technology for Ryerson University Student Association and won the Smycor Case Competition award as an undergraduate. Prior to joining SGI, Anselm held roles as an IT project manager for Freefly881 and has won awards as a software developer/android mobile developer for the Royal Bank of Canada and as a web developer at TD Bank.
Natasha Amaefuna, Business Development Manager Natasha is a vibrant technocrat with a depth of experience in business development, strategy and Procurement across the Finance, Construction and Telecoms industries. Prior to joining Smarter Grid International, she held roles at BlackRock Investment UK, Costain Group and British Telecommunications. Natasha holds an MBA from the University of Lincoln UK, a Masters degree in International Management from the University of Surrey and a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management from Covenant University Nigeria.
Liu Zhaolong, Project Consultant Passionate about energy efficiency and sustainable energy development, Liu is a first class engineer with expertise in energy storage architecture and applications, renewable energy integration, battery management systems, primary and rechargeable battery chemistries. He has worked with Generation and Distribution utilities across China, Turkey, Belarus, Nigeria and other countries from feasibility to operations. He is a graduate of thermal energy from the Beijing Transportation University where he also bagged a Masters Degree. Liu is a recipient of the prestigious Asian Achievers Award.
Kumar Anup, Head of Operations has an MSc. Kumar is an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Expert with over 13 years of experience ensuring the quality delivery of large environmental and infrastructural projects. He served as a Principal Consultant with AAKS & Bros Ventures, on the design, implementation and monitoring of solar power projects and alternate technologies in developing countries like India and Kenya. In Nigeria, Kumar has worked for the Transmission Company of Nigeria and Rural Electrification Agency respectively. He was team lead for solar street lighting projects in Northern Nigeria. He has a MSc. in Business Information Technology & Management (University of Malta) and a BSc. in Engineering from Birla, Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (India). To this background, he brings skills that cover embedded firmware and enterprise software.

Anthony Onoh Chairman of the Board and Founder G-Eurafric

Mr. Onoh is Founder and Chairman of the Eurafric Group. He is a foremost Nigerian entrepreneur and visionary reputed for his highly successful domestic and foreign investments. A trained Accountant, his cognate experience exceeding thirty five years spans maritime, oil and gas, energy and real estate. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from California State University in 1980 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from the same university in 1982. He commenced his career as a trainee accountant and subsequently rose to be a Junior Partner. He has worked in Clearance Harris Accountants and Howard Accountants in Los Angeles. On his return to Nigeria in 1985, he started the Eurafric Group which has since developed successful business interests in Aviation, Power, Oil &Gas, Commodities Trading, Real Estate, and EPCM. His experience and relationships with key stakeholders in various segments of the economy has been an added advantage in the successful development of the Group.

Ambassador Robin Sanders, A notable international lecturer, and thought-leader on Africa Dr. Sanders is the Former U.S. Ambassador To Nigeria, ECOWAS, Republic Of Congo, Director For Africa National Security Council At The White House and currently the CEO of FEEEEDS Advocacy Initiative. She has served in various capacities within the US government and was responsible for urging the U.S. Congress to authorize more American help for the Nigerian government in its fight against the terrorist group Boko Haram. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Hampton University, a Master of Arts in International Relations and African Studies and a Master of Science in Communication work from Ohio University respectively. Dr. Sanders is the recipient of the U.S. military's Joint Chiefs of Staff Civilian Honor Award; three Superior Honor and four Meritorious Honor Awards from the U.S. State Department; the “Medal of Honor” from the President of Republic of Congo. She is a member of the U.S. National Scholar Society for her public policy and academic work.
Prof. Oladapo Afolabi (CFR), Former Head of Service of the Federation of Nigeria An astute scholar and former Head of Service of the federation of Nigeria, Prof. Afolabi is a specialist in Environmental and Food Nutritional Chemistry. As a civil servant, Prof. Afolabi served as Functional Director and Head of Environmental Technology and Research Department Federal Environmental Protection Agency, Permanent Secretary Federal Ministries of Labour, Education, Agriculture and Water Resources before rising to the rank of Head of Service. Before joining the civil service, he taught in institutions in Nigeria and outside the country. He is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife, Osun State, where he obtained his B.Sc. and MSc. in Biochemistry before bagging his Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry. Professor Afolabi is a Fellow of the International Atomic Energy Agency; Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria; Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administrators of Nigeria, Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria, Michael Imoudu Institute for Labour Studies. He was conferred the National honors of OON and CFR in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
